Sesame Street Live

Before you scoff, we too used to roll our eyes at the idea of buying expensive tickets to a concert that you take a little kid to that he's not even going to remember. Of course, that was before we had a kid. One Sesame Street Live commercial and one "he would love that" and Kim was online to Ticketmaster. It was our big Christmas present to Micah. And, he loved it. It was probably 20 minutes too long for him, only because he wanted to get down in the aisle, but he was in awe the whole time. Kim and I had a great time watching Micah.

I thought all these Elmo heads looked so funny. Any guesses on how much?.......$10! Sorry Micah, no balloon for you.

Bad Blogger.

ok. So I stink at keeping up with my blog. Sometimes it's hard to make the effort when all I have are videos like this...

and you second guess yourself and ask, "is my kid wearing a bowl on his head blog worthy?" Do I want everyone to see what my kitchen floor looks like? Do I want people to see that I didn't take the effort to get me or Micah out of pajamas, I just hope you assume that it's still 8am.

Anyhoo.. These pictures aren't anything exciting, but here's a typical day in the life...

Christmas

I'm back after my little Christmas vacation from blogging. We had a really nice Christmas with both of our extended families and our own little family. It's too bad that Micah finally starting getting the jist of presents just as the Christmas season ended. We gave him one of those horses that is just a stick with a horse head on it and he's convinced it's a vacuum. He has a monotone hum while he goes around from one room to another rubbing the poor horse face back and forth into the carpet while he "vacuums". He even does under chairs and his bed. I wonder if he's trying to tell me something.

We also went to the Macy's 8th floor exhibit "A Day in the Life of an Elf". We went once before Christmas and the wait was over an hour so we left but the lady at Macy's told us if we came back any day after Christmas we would be able to walk right in. She was right. There was nobody there.

There was an employee standing at an emergency exit in the exhibit doing absolutely nothing so I asked her to take a family picture. She tried taking one, and I could tell it didn't work, so walked back up to the lady and she was holding the camera upside down, so I turned it around went back and posed with the family and we got this...

we just walked away.

Micah got a sled for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa and LOVES it. And Christmas Eve Day was perfect for being out in a sled. This is at my parent's house.

Hopefully it will be warmer next week so we can use it again!
